New Jersey Devils Team Up With 15 Seconds of Fame To Provide NHL Fans Shareable Moments

The New Jersey Devils became the first NHL team to reach an agreement with 15 Seconds of Fame, allowing fans who appear on the videoboard at the Prudential Center to receive a personalized video clip.

The Devils had tested the technology during the season finale in April and reported positive reviews from fans who downloaded the mobile app and simply registered by taking selfies. The app then recognizes fans who appear on the videoboard and can deliver clips, allowing them to be shared — because what else would they do?

The Prudential Center is part of the deal, enabling the technology to be available at select sporting events at the arena throughout the year as well.

“The Devils and Prudential Center are consistently on the cutting edge of technology integration with the goal of creating an amazing fan experience each night,” Daniel Cherry III, New Jersey Devils and Prudential center chief marketing and innovation officer, said in a statement. “We are thrilled to partner with 15SOF to be the first hockey team to give fans a new way to consume and share once-in-a-lifetime Devils moments.”

It’s an added benefit for New Jersey fans who appear on the Kiss Cam and then want to relive it over and over again. For 15 Seconds of Fame, it’s another chance to help the team engage with the average Puddy in the arena once the regular season begins next month.

“We are very excited to be bringing 15SOF to one of the most passionate fan bases in sports and to deliver moments to Devils fans that were never before attainable,” CEO Brett Joshpe said in a statement.
