T'Wolves Hold Meetings With Chinese Companies About Jersey Patch

T'Wolves CEO Ethan Casson said he had some "exploratory meetings with Chinese companies" during a trip to China last month to "talk about a relationship ... and to really begin the dialogue around the jersey patch," according to Nick Halter of the MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL BUSINESS JOURNAL. He made the trip to Asia to meet with limited partner Lizhang "John" Jiang, who along with N.J.-based real estate firm The Orbach Group Chair Meyer Orbach bought into the team in late June. Casson would not disclose the companies he talked to, classifying the meetings as "more introductory than anything." But he said, "It was a great opportunity to just be in front of them face-to-face and see what a partnership would look like" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 9/7).

CHOOSE OR LOSE: THE UNDEFEATED's Clinton Yates reported the T'Wolves, in conjunction with Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon, "launched a series of voter registration public service announcements designed to educate state residents ahead of the polls opening this fall." T'Wolves C Karl-Anthony Towns appears in the first PSA, which is "currently running" on FS North in the state. The ads "don't endorse any particular candidates" (THEUNDEFEATED.com, 9/7).
