NFL Marketing Notes: Dunkin' Donuts Adds Deal With Ravens, Renews Eagles' Pact

In Baltimore, Jeff Barker notes the Ravens have a new partnership with Dunkin' Donuts "designating the brand as 'Official Coffee and Breakfast' of the team." Dunkin' will sponsor a promo where customers who "present the offer from the company's mobile app on the day after a Ravens regular-season win will get a free medium coffee." Dunkin' "previously had a partnership with the Ravens, allowing it to use the team logo on packaging and offering specialty, team-related items." This partnership will include "Ravens-inspired donut creations and Dunkin' Donuts pouring stations at MT&T Bank Stadium home games" (Baltimore SUN, 9/7). Dunkin' yesterday also announced its return as an official partner of the Eagles for the ninth consecutive year. This year's partnership will include a youth-based fundraising program featuring Eagles TE Zach Ertz (Dunkin' Donuts).

WAVE LENGTHS: In DC, Dan Steinberg noted the NFL schedule this season brings the Steelers back to FedExField for "another Monday night home opener" against the Redskins. The Steelers have "played just one regular season game" at FedExField in its history. In that game, the "most lasting visuals featured invading fans in black jerseys waving Terrible Towels." The Redskins hope to counter that this season by "passing out burgundy towels Monday night -- sponsored, of course, by FedEx, CSN and Coca-Cola." The team did not provide a number for the giveaway (WASHINGTONPOST.com, 9/6).

OLIVET TWIST: In Chicago, Lewis Lazare reported Olivet Nazarene Univ. has signed a four-year deal with the Bears that includes the school becoming an "official sponsor of several Bears-related events" this season, including Ladies Night at Soldier Field and the Moms Football Safety Clinic at Halas Hall, the Bears' training facility. ONU earlier this summer joined PNC to co-sponsor the Chicago Bears 5K, which "had more than 4,000 participants." ONU is "likely to sign on as a sponsor of more Bears-related events as the current season unfolds and in future seasons." The downstate Illinois-based school has hosted the Bears' training camp for 15 years (BIZJOURNALS.com, 9/6).

SLEEP EASY: Denver Mattress and Furniture Row will once again sponsor the Broncos for the '16 season. The Broncos and Denver Mattress are partnering on a variety of events in addition to having a relationship with QB Paxton Lynch. As part of the sponsorship, a Furniture Row racing car will make an appearance at Broncos' home games during the regular season (Broncos).
