Blast Motion Releases “Blast Connect” Software To Unite Baseball Coaches And Players Around Actionable Swing Data

Blast Motion the Carlsbad, California-based sports sensor company announced yet another release of an advanced sensor-based capture and swing analysis tool, the Blast Connect software service. The platform is used to provide coaches and top academies with the next generation of 360-degree training visibility and management over an athlete’s workout programming.

Coaches can give athlete’s insight through the program as well, accessing their training metrics, videos, scheduling, drill assignment, competition management, leaderboards and training history. The framework also gives coaches the ability to include voiceovers, markup features and analysis over the footage. All of these features are available with or without a Blast Motion sensor, however, when a sensor is linked to an athlete’s Blast Connect account, the Blast Baseball 360 and Blast Golf 360 mobile apps will automatically upload training metrics making them reviewable as soon as they are recorded.

“For the first time, Blast Connect provides academies and coaches with a 360-degree solution, that enables the entire athlete improvement ecosystem from a common platform,” said Michael Fitzpatrick, Chief Executive Officer for Blast Motion.  “Coaches now can work with athletes wherever they are located, provide drills, and review their video with annotations and voiceovers. We have created a total improvement solution that addresses the needs that academies, coaches and athletes have been looking for in one cost effective, integrated system.”

After recently reaching a deal as the official bat sensor technology provider of the MLB, and partnerships with the likes of Easton and the Houston Astros organization, the company is hitting its own version of a home-run.

“We’ve created a seamless user experience that’s portable, affordable, and easy to use,” said Roger Weingarth, Blast Motion President and COO.  “We’re excited to be partnering with MLB to advance the game of baseball and bring professional-grade technology to athletes of all skillsets. It’s going to be fun watching technology enable a new generation of athletes.”

Blast Connect is available for purchase today at a $59.95 per year price point. The initial 30-day free trial will map out Blast Motion’s abilities for a “test run” before purchase.

The days of throwing the ball into the air, smoking it into deep center and chasing after them once you have emptied your white gallon bucket are over. Blast Motion is attempting to usher in the future of swing mechanics and level the playing field for anyone wanting to improve their swing.
