Pro Football HOF Expands Fans' Refund Policy For Canceled Colts-Packers Game

The Pro Football HOF on Thursday announced that fans who had tickets to last week's canceled Packers-Colts game "are eligible for reimbursement not only for the face value of their tickets but also for one night of hotel accommodations, prepaid parking and fees," according to a front-page piece by Alison Matas of the Canton REPOSITORY. The HOF and the NFL have been "named in a federal lawsuit that aims to represent more than 22,000 people" and asks for more than $5M in damages. The HOF's refund website says that anyone who "accepts the refund plan being offered" through the HOF will not be "able to participate in the lawsuit." Other things "being offered" to fans who had game tickets include four admission passes to the museum, good for a visit in the next five years. Also being offered is a photo of the '16 HOF class and other HOFers, a copy of the '16-17 Pro Football HOF yearbook and a 30% "discount on merchandise" from the HOF's online store, as well as the "right to buy a ticket" for a future HOF game or enshrinement before the general public for one year in the next five (Canton REPOSITORY, 8/19).
