Titans Controlling Owner Amy Adams Strunk last week said that she has had a “preliminary conversation with the league about altering the team's uniforms,” according to Paul Kuharsky of ESPN.com. Strunk said, “We can refresh and they definitely could use a little updating, but it takes a while to get that done. I kind of visited with the league office about it a little bit a couple months ago. But we got so busy that I didn’t go back to it. ... It can’t happen this year. I think it’s a two-year thing.” Strunk said that she “likes the team's color scheme and is a fan of both the light and dark blue.” But many Titans fans call the team’s primary logo the “flaming thumbtack” and “have a strong preference for the secondary logo, a ‘T sword.’" Strunk: “I’d like to hear what the fans are saying.” The Titans also “completely remodeled” their team facility over the summer (ESPN.com, 8/1).
BACK IN BLACK: Steelers President Art Rooney II said that when the team hosts the Ravens on Christmas Day, players will play in their “monochromatic ‘Color Rush’ uniforms.” CBSSPORTS.com’s Ryan Wilson cited a source as saying that the team “will likely wear black on black.” The “original plan was to have the Steelers wear their ‘Color Rush’ unis in Indianapolis against the Colts" on Thanksgiving night (CBSSPORTS.com, 8/1).
