Buyers & Sellers: Blackhawks' Jonathan Toews Sells Chicago Mansion For $3.825M

Blackhawks C JONATHAN TOEWS sold his "five-bedroom, 6,400-square-foot mansion" in Chicago for $3.825M. Toews in '14 paid $3.525M for the "four-story, brick-and-limestone mansion." The mansion was built in '01 and has "five baths, a four-stop passenger elevator, designer window treatments, custom lighting and hardwood floors." Other features include a "penthouse rec room with a wet bar, an outdoor kitchen, a garage-top deck with a pergola and fireplace, a roof deck, an attached two-car garage, a lighting system and a Sonos audio system." Toews now has "bought and sold three properties in Chicago" (CHICAGO TRIBUNE, 7/13).

GRIDIRON REAL ESTATE: Former NFL coach MIKE SHANAHAN's "custom-designed mansion" in Denver is on the market for $22M. The 30,000-square-foot, six-bedroom, 13-bathroom home sits on 3.88-acres. Built in '08, it includes "11 fireplaces ... an expansive weight room, a racquetball court, a golf simulator, a two-lane bowling alley and a wet bar" (DENVER POST, 7/14)....Ohio State defensive coordinator GREG SCHIANO has sold his Tampa home for $6.625M. The "10,850-square-foot mansion" was built in '13 and has "six bedrooms, seven bathrooms and two half-baths." Amenities include an "elevator, pool, spa, boat lift, butler's pantry and wine cellar" (TAMPA BAY TIMES, 7/14).

BUYERS & SELLERS: Late Flyers Chair ED SNIDER's Santa Barbara, Calif., home is on the market for $52M. The 21,345-square-foot villa is the "centerpiece of a approximately 9.37-acre estate." Views take in the "ocean and surrounding mountain vistas." The "Italianate-inspired" main house features "refined formal areas, a wood-paneled office/den and bi-folding doors that bring the outdoors inside." On the grounds there are "formal gardens, fountains, a reflecting pond, an outdoor pavilion and a swimming pool" (LATIMES.com, 7/11)....NWSL Seattle Reign G HOPE SOLO and former NFLer JERRAMY STEVENS listed their three-bedroom Seattle home for $1.85M. The 5,330-square-foot home includes "exposed wood ceilings, brick fireplaces and french doors that open to a wraparound deck." There also is a "wet bar, Sport Court, pool and hot tub" (NYPOST.com, 7/12)....ESPN's BRAD DAUGHERTY is selling his Santa Barbara-area estate for $2.375M. Daugherty bought the property last year for $2.356M. The ranch-style home includes a "swimming pool with a spa, a two-stall barn and a tack room" (LATIMES.com, 7/7).
