Deacon Jonesing: IMG, Wake Forest Extend Multimedia, Licensing Deal Through '27

Wake Forest’s longtime rights holder, IMG, and the school have agreed on a multimedia rights and licensing extension that will go out to '27. Financial terms of the deal were not available. The new portion of the deal will provide IMG with additional rights that include the floor apron at Wake Forest's Lawrence Joel Coliseum, field-level signage at the football stadium, BB&T Field, concourse and entry-way branding for both football and basketball venues and new social-media opportunities. “IMG has successfully allowed us to expand our national brand throughout the country and we look forward to a continued relationship,” Wake Forest AD Ron Wellman said. Wake was the first school client for Ben Sutton’s ISP Sports in '92 -- ISP was later acquired by IMG. Sutton, the Chair Emeritus for IMG’s college division, is also a trustee on the school’s board. “Our partnership has evolved throughout the decades and continues to showcase the combined strength of IMG’s multimedia rights and licensing abilities in an ever-changing marketplace,” said IMG College President Jason Lublin.
