Three of Broncos Owner Pat Bowlen's children "no longer work for the team," according to Nicki Jhabvala of the DENVER POST. John Bowlen Jr., Pat’s youngest son and the team's former Corporate Partnerships Coordinator, "had been placed on indefinite leave after he was arrested on domestic violence charges" in June '15. A Broncos spokesperson said that Bowlen Jr. is "not with the team and is pursuing other opportunities." Brittany Bowlen "will begin working toward a master’s degree in business administration" at Duke Univ. this fall after "spending 10 months as a business analyst in the Broncos’ finance department." Jane Elizabeth Bowlen Wallace was the team’s director of special projects and events "but has not been with the team for the past year as she pursued a law degree" at the Univ. of Denver. She graduated in May, and it is "unclear if she will return to the team." Patrick Bowlen III "remains a facilities coordinator with the team’s stadium management company." Long before Pat Bowlen stepped down, however, he "set up a family trust to serve as the vehicle to transfer controlling ownership of the team to one of his seven children." The trust is "run by three non-family members" -- team President & CEO Joe Ellis, General Counsel & Exec VP Rich Slivka and Denver attorney Mary Kelly -- who "will decide which child is best fit for the job" (DENVER POST, 6/22).
