Wisconsin Sees 95% Football Season-Ticket Renewal Rate For Fourth Straight Year

Wisconsin AD Barry Alvarez said that over 95% of football season-ticket holders "renewed their seats" for '16, according to Todd Milewski of the Madison CAPITAL TIMES. Those numbers match the level "reached in the three previous seasons." Alvarez said that there also have been 1,860 "requests for new season tickets," which is more than officials have reported in recent years. After two straight years of season-ticket price increases, the '16 cost "stayed at $48 per game," which is anywhere from $2 to $47 cheaper than individual game prices. Overall cost of a season-ticket package "dropped from $336 to $288 because the Badgers are playing six home games, one fewer than normal" (Madison CAPITAL TIMES, 6/20).
