Copa America Centenario Viewership Strong On Univision, While FS1 Gets Soccer Record

The Copa America Centenario is averaging 2.7 million viewers for 10 matches across Univision, UniMas and Univision Deportes, a figure that exceeds the nets’ average during the ’14 FIFA World Cup group stage. The Mexico-Uruguay match last Sunday drew 5.1 million viewers, marking the most-viewed soccer match on any net since the CONCACAF Gold Cup finale last year, which featured Mexico-Jamaica. Meanwhile, FS1 drew 1.6 million viewers on Tuesday for the U.S.-Costa Rica match at the Copa America Centenario, marking the net’s best soccer audience on record. That passes the 1.56 million viewers for the Mexico-U.S. CONCACAF Cup last year. The USMNT’s first game against Colombia on June 3 finished with 1.54 million viewers. FS1 also drew 862,000 viewers for the Argentina-Chile match on Monday, marking the net’s best soccer audience on record for a game not involving the U.S. Fox' best audience last weekend was around 1.0 million viewers for Jamaica-Venezuela on Sunday afternoon.
