TNT's Warriors-Thunder Game 7 Marks NBA's Best Overnight Rating Ever On Cable TV

TNT last night drew an 11.2 overnight rating for the Warriors' 96-88 win over the Thunder in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals, marking the highest-rated NBA telecast ever on cable TV. The last NBA Game 7 for the conference finals was in '13, when TNT drew an 8.6 overnight for the Heat's blowout win over the Pacers. ESPN in '12 also drew a 9.1 overnight for Heat-Celtics ECF Game 7 on a Saturday night. Last night's telecast peaked with a 13.8 rating toward the end of the game from 11:15-11:30pm ET. Following the game from 11:31pm-12:35am, TNT drew a 4.8 overnight for "Inside The NBA." Warriors-Thunder Game 7 was the top sports telecast during Memorial Day weekend. The game drew a 30.9 local rating in S.F.-Oakland-San Jose, setting an NBA record for TNT in the market. Rounding out the top five markets from last night were Oklahoma City (30.0), Cleveland-Akron (20.7), Sacramento (19.2) and Tulsa (15.5).
