Charter To Hire Mike Bair To Head Up Sports, Including RSNs For Dodgers, Lakers

Charter has tapped former MSG Media President MIKE BAIR to head up its sports and news channels, including the Dodgers RSN that has had trouble getting distribution. Bair essentially replaces DAVID RONE, who stepped down as TWC Sports President in October. A formal deal has yet to be signed, and a Charter spokesperson would not comment. Bair will oversee TWC SportsNet and TWC Deportes (both Lakers-centric), SportsNet LA (Dodgers) and Charter’s news channels. TWC Sports GM MARK SHUKEN, VP/Affiliate Relations DAN FINNERTY and VP/Marketing SCOTT PRUITT will report to Bair, who has a longstanding relationship with Charter Chair & CEO TOM RUTLEDGE dating back to the '90s when both worked for Cablevision.
