Buyers & Sellers: N.Y. Home Once Owned By Former Yankee Jorge Posada Listed At $8.99M

A home once owned by former MLBer JORGE POSADA "is on the market" in N.Y. for $8.99M. The four-bedroom, 6.5-bathroom unit "measures 5,582 square feet." It "opens to its own private elevator landing, and has a large eat-in kitchen, formal dining room and large den" (N.Y. POST, 5/12).

BEACH LIFE: Tennis player ANDY MURRAY has his condo at the Jade Residences in downtown Miami listed at $2.99M. He purchased the condo in July '08 for $1.575M, and online listings "indicate a sale is pending." The 45th-floor unit "has four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms in 3,415 square feet with wrap-around views that encompass the glimmering Biscayne Bay" and Miami’s skyline "plus three terraces that provide 868-square-feet of outdoor living space." Murray "isn’t the only international tennis star who keeps a condo at the Jade Residences." Fellow player JUAN MARTIN DEL POTRO owns a 1,878-square-foot two-bedroom and three-bathroom unit "on a middle floor that he picked up" over the summer of '14 for $1.49M (VARIETY.com, 5/5).

GOING, GOING, GONE: NFL free agent LARRY ENGLISH "has sold his home in Hollywood Hills West for the asking price" of $3.395M. He "bought the house two years ago" for $2.565M. The 2,700-square-foot boxy contemporary, "designed for indoor-outdoor living, features sliding walls of glass, multiple terrace patios and balconies and a rooftop lounge" (LATIMES.com, 5/6)....Bulls F PAU GASOL "has sold his home" in Redondo Beach, Calif., for $3.35M. The ocean-view contemporary, built in '89, "includes a pair of condos that were combined to create a residence totaling four bedrooms and six bathrooms in about 4,500 square feet." Gasol "purchased the two units in separate transactions," paying a total of $2.98M. Among features of note are a "media room/wet bar" and an open-plan living/dining area that "has a wall fireplace and sliding doors that open to various terrace/balconies" (LATIMES.com, 5/17).
