Source: Cowboys Making Play To Host '18 NFL Draft At AT&T Stadium Or New Frisco HQ

The Cowboys are "making a play" to host the '18 NFL Draft at either The Star in Frisco or AT&T Stadium, but "no final decision has been made," according a source cited by Clarence Hill Jr. of the FT. WORTH STAR-TELEGRAM. Cowboys Exec VP/Business Operations Chad Estis last week "revealed as much to the Frisco Chamber of Commerce." A team source also "confirmed discussions have begun with the NFL." Hill notes Estis at the Chamber of Commerce gathering made a point to "sell the visibility of the draft to Frisco business leaders and how it could shine a big spotlight on the Star as well as [the] entire community." Estis: "From a pure media standpoint, that could be one of the biggest things that we could potentially have" (FT. WORTH STAR-TELEGRAM, 5/20).
