The NFL has confirmed that Senior VP & Chief Security Officer JEFF MILLER "is leaving" his position. NFL VP/Communications BRIAN MCCARTHY said, "He informed the league last month that he was going to take a job on the West Coast with a private security firm. He worked the draft, will work at the league meeting and subsequent training session. He will leave the NFL next month.” A source said that the move "has nothing to do with performance, and it wasn’t initiated by the league." Another source said that the NFL "has not decided on a replacement" (PROFOOTBALLTALK.com, 5/4).

EXECS: Larry H. Miller Sports & Entertainment promoted COO JIM OLSON to Exec VP and President of Vivint Smart Home Arena. He will continue oversight of the Triple-A PCL Salt Lake Bees (LHMSE)....Chicagoland Speedway VP/Sales & Marketing SCOTT HOWARD has left the track and its owner ISC to join Red Frog Events as Head of Sales & Marketing. Howard, who had been in the role with Chicagoland since '11, joins the Chicago-based company that puts on the Firefly Music Festival at Dover Int'l Speedway among other events (Adam Stern, Staff Writer)....Premier Partnerships named MLBAM Sales Service Exec JIM COOK Senior Manager of Corporate Partnerships for their Chicago office (THE DAILY)....Performance Sports Group announced that Exec VP/Hockey RICH WUERTHELE is leaving the company to return to Newell Brands, where he worked in various roles from '03-14 (PSG)....Indianapolis-based IMS Productions named ESPN VP/Production RICH FEINBERG to the newly created position of VP & Exec Producer (INSIDEINDIANABUSINESS.com, 5/3)....The Aspire Group named DAVID YRI Sales Consultant for its National Sales Center, ANASTASIA HAMILTON Group & Events Consultant for its Univ. of Kansas Fan Relationship Management Center, MEGHAN KING New Business Consultant for its Army West Point Fan Relationship Management Center and ANNE MUELLER Service Consultant for its Univ. of Texas Fan Relationship Management Center (Aspire Group).
