Drive For Diversity: Bubba Wallace Lands Two Sponsorship Deals For Upcoming Xfinity Races

Roush Fenway Racing today announced two sponsorship deals for Bubba Wallace’s No. 6 Ford Mustang in the Xfinity Series, an every-bit-helps step for a car that remains searching for sponsorship a few months into the ’16 season. For the Ollie’s Bargain Outlet 200 at Dover Speedway next weekend, Wallace’s No. 6 will sport colors from LoudMouth Exhausts, an exhaust systems company that specializes in working on sports and muscle cars. The deal with LoudMouth is for multiple races, though RFR is just disclosing the scheme at Dover to start. Additionally, for the Lakes Region 200 on July 16 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Wallace’s car will sport colors from AutoLotto, a new mobile app that allows users to play Powerball games digitally and counts Aurum Partners, an investment company owned by the 49ers’ York family, among its investors. AutoLotto, which was landed by Fuel Sports Management Group Dir of Business Development Garrett Hess, chose to run the scheme at NHMS because it is launching the game in that state this summer. That deal is for one race to start, but RFR is hopeful it can grow into more. The amount of inventory that Wallace has remaining in the Xfinity Series’ 33-race schedule is not known, but he has had to run paint schemes in multiple races this season from companies related to the team including Roush Performance and Ford Performance. The No. 6 was sponsored by social media startup app Selfeo for the season-opening PowerShares QQQ 300 at Daytona Int'l Speedway. Wallace is seen as a potential future star of the sport due to his driving acumen, charisma and diversity, but has had trouble finding major primary sponsors. The Xfinity Series has the week off this weekend.
