Bengals Offer Fans NFL Draft-Day Experience; Raiders To Announce Picks From Mexico City

The Bengals have randomly selected 32 season-ticket holders to "take part in what they're calling the NFL Draft Experience" with behind-the-scenes access to the NFL Draft in Chicago, according to Steve Watkins of the CINCINNATI BUSINESS COURIER. Bengals fans were able to attend the Draft Eve Party presented by Verizon yesterday and today's NFL Draft Luncheon presented by Nationwide. The fans also will "get a customized Bengals jersey with 'NFL Draft' emblazoned on the nameplate." They will "walk the red carpet" today in those jerseys to "hand-deliver Bengals draft caps" at Roosevelt Univ.'s Auditorium Theatre, where the draft will be conducted. Bengals fan Matthew Weissman will "hand a No. 1 Nike Bengals jersey to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to present to the Bengals' first-round draft pick." The Bengals on Saturday will "host a VIP celebration at Paul Brown Stadium where two season ticket holders will get to announce the Bengals' draft picks in rounds four and five" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 4/27).

SNOW PATROL: In Denver, Nicki Jhabvala reported the Broncos' picks for Rounds 4-6 on Saturday "will be announced live from the base of Mary Jane Territory at Winter Park Resort" by former NFLers Jake Plummer and Jeremy Bloom, as well as a Broncos cheerleader. If the team keeps "all of their picks in the latter rounds, a fan will be selected to announce the fourth selection" (DENVERPOST.com, 4/27).

SOUTH OF THE BORDER: The AP's Carlos Rodriguez noted the Raiders on Saturday will "announce their third-day draft selections" from Mexico City's Azteca Stadium. The draft announcements will "be part of the Raiders' Mexico City fan fest, a kickoff for the team's activities leading up to" the team's game against the Texans in Mexico City on Nov. 21. Former NFLers Jim Plunkett and Lincoln Kennedy will "join Televisa sports anchor Antonio de Valdes in announcing the picks." Rodriguez noted the Jaguars in '15 "announced their third-day selections from London" and will "do so again this year" (AP, 4/27).
