CBS' WFAN Continues To Dominate ESPN Radio In N.Y. Market Among Males 25-54

ESPN Radio after 15 years in the N.Y. market "has not been able to beat WFAN in the ratings," and this news "was no different" in Q1, according to data cited by Bob Raissman of the N.Y. DAILY NEWS. The CBS Radio-owned WFAN show "Boomer & Carton" from 6:00-10:00am ET on weekdays was second in the market among men 25-54 among all shows compared to ESPN Radio's "Mike & Mike," which ranked 15th in the demo. During the 10:00am-1:00pm window, WFAN’s "Benigno & Roberts" was second, while the combo of ESPN Radio N.Y.’s "The Dan Le Batard Show" (10:00am-12:00pm) and "Hahn & Humpty" (12:00-1:00pm) ranked 15th in the market. Things were no different in the afternoon drive slot from 1:00-6:30pm, as WFAN's "Mike's On," featuring Mike Francesa, was second in the market compared to ESPN Radio's combo of "Hahn & Humpty" (1:00-3:00pm) and "The Michael Kay Show" (3:00-6:30pm) at No. 10. Within the 3:00-7:00pm window, Francesa was second in the market, while Kay was No. 8 (NY DAILY NEWS, 4/24).
