DeChambeau Signs Deals With Cobra-Puma, Bridgestone Ahead Of Pro Debut

Bryson DeChambeau, who will make his pro debut on the PGA Tour tomorrow at the RBC Heritage in Hilton Head, S.C., yesterday announced a partnership deal with Cobra-Puma Golf to "go along with his earlier-announced deal" with Bridgestone Golf, according to Jim McCabe of GOLFWEEK. DeChambeau's Ben Hogan-like cap will "feature the Puma logo." DeChambeau at the announcement "changed into white pants, red shirt and his signature cap (this one red) with a white Puma logo." A Puma logo "was on his shirt" while a Cobra logo "was on his right sleeve" (GOLFWEEK.com, 4/12). GOLF DIGEST's Stachura & Johnson noted DeChambeau "joins a Cobra Puma staff that includes two of the game's most popular young stars, Rickie Fowler and Lexi Thompson." In addition to Cobra clubs, DeChambeau also will "wear Puma apparel and shoes, including the Ignite line of footwear." Terms of the multiyear deal were not announced (GOLFDIGEST.com, 4/12). Cobra-Puma Golf President Bob Philion said, "We're trying to be the most desirable, and not the biggest. That's about finding the coolest cats on the planet that have a great blend of performance, style and swagger. We had a very natural fit with this player from the outset" (BLUFFTONTODAY.com, 4/12).
