Real Salt Lake officials this weekend "are set to announce plans" for a $50M soccer complex in Herriman, Utah, to "house everything from the club's training activities to a charter high school for youth players," according to Aaron Falk of the SALT LAKE TRIBUNE. The site will include "eight different soccer fields" for the MLS club, its USL Real Monarchs affiliate and the club's U-16 and U-18 teams. The new facility also will "house some of the club's youth training activities" and "will be home to about 50 full-time staffers." Groundbreaking "is expected to happen in late April" with expected opening date of August '17. The site is "expected to be fully operational in time" for the '18 MLS season.
