Reds See Increase In Sponsorship Sales, Add In-Game Promotions For Upcoming Season

Reds VP/Corporate Partnerships Bill Reinberger said that sponsorship sales are up 3.1% "from where they were a year ago," which is "especially significant" after the Reds hosted the All-Star Game last year, according to Steve Watkins of the CINCINNATI BUSINESS COURIER. Reinberger: “I don’t think we necessarily expected that. But it does reflect the corporate community’s attitude toward the Reds." He said that the Reds this season have "added at least a half-dozen new sponsors." Local family entertainment center Scene75 "will give fans a free go-kart or laser tag ticket if the Reds steal two bases," while LaRosa's Pizza is "back with its offer of a free small pizza with one topping to every ticket holder if the Reds strike out 11 batters in a home game." M&M’s is "taking over the All-Star Game sign that was just to the right of the new right-field scoreboard last year." M&M's also is "teaming with Kroger" for a home-run promotion, while Chick-fil-A has "signed on for a new between-innings promotion" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 3/22).

INTERIOR DESIGN: San Diego-based Jerome’s Furniture has signed a multiyear deal with the Angels to become the official furniture store of the club. As part of the sponsorship, the company will host a new Jerome’s Furniture Lounge at Angel Stadium for use during all 81 home games. The deal also includes several advertising elements, notably a billboard behind home plate and social media posts. In addition, Jerome’s will host a contest called the “Best Suite in the House,” providing fans the chance to win a game-viewing experience in the fully-furnished Jerome’s suite in the VIP area on the first base side (Jerome's Furniture).
