Visa Reorganization Leads To Dismissal of Ricardo Fort; Kate Johnson Takes On Duties

The reorganization of Visa's marketing division has "led to the dismissal" of Senior VP/Global Brand, Product & Sponsorship Marketing RICARDO FORT, according to Ben Fischer of SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL. Fort left "in February when a reorganization eliminated his position." His duties have "been taken on" by Senior Dir of Global Sponsorship KATE JOHNSON. Johnson is also Visa's liaison to the IOC, and prior to joining Visa in '13, she "worked in IMG's Olympic consulting division for seven years." Fort joined Visa in '12 and "currently is unemployed." But he has said that "he wants to return to sports business" (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 3/21 issue).
