Former Oregon men's basketball players DOMINIC ARTIS and DAMYEAN DOTSON, dismissed by the school in May '14 after "being accused, but never charged, of raping a fellow student at an off-campus party two months earlier, have filed a lawsuit" against UO seeking $10M each. The suit "comes more than four months after BRANDON AUSTIN, a third player named in a police report of the alleged rape, filed his own suit" against UO seeking $7.5M. The suit is against UO, former school President MICHAEL GOTTFREDSON, VP/Student Life and interim Dean of Students ROBIN HOLMES and two others (Portland OREGONIAN, 3/16).

AHOY PALOY: Golf course developer HOLLIS CAVNER has bought the Tartan Park golf course in Lake Elmo, Minn., from 3M. Cavner said that he "plans to transform the 477-acre property into a smaller, better golf course and 357 homes." He is "being joined" on the project by ARNOLD PALMER and ANNIKA SORENSTAM. Cavner is the "owner of the TPC Twin Cities." He also Champions Tour 3M Championship Tournament Dir and CEO of the marketing firm ProLinks, "which manages six PGA events nationwide" (ST. PAUL PIONEER PRESS, 3/16). Cavner said that Palmer and Sorenstam will "redesign the current 27 holes at Tartan Park into 18 holes that will appeal to the public with emphasis on youth and families." The new course will be named "The King and The Queen" (Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE, 3/16).

LABOR DAY: ASM Sports has signed Rockets G K.J. MCDANIELS for representation on and off the court. Agents ANDY MILLER and CHRISTIAN DAWKINS will represent him. McDaniels was formerly represented by Rivals Sports Group. McDaniels, who endorses Nike, was the No. 32 pick of the '14 NBA Draft. In other agent-signing news, Lagardère Sports NFL agent JOEL SEGAL has signed Redskins TE JORDAN REED for representation. Reed was formerly represented by 320 Sports (Liz Mullen, Staff Writer).

PSG also said that it "would delay opening two new retail stores slated for" late '16 and early '17 (N.Y. POST, 3/16)....ROBERTA GIBB, the first woman to complete the Boston Marathon, "will serve as the grand marshal of this year's race." This marks the "50th year of women participating in the marathon" (BOSTON GLOBE, 3/15)....PETE FRATES, a former Boston College baseball player, and his wife, JULIE, who raised $220M for ALS through the Ice Bucket Challenge, "will do a book -- and a possible film" (BOSTON HERALD, 3/16)....Yankees 1B MARK TEIXEIRA on Sunday made a "cameo in the latest episode of Showtime's 'BILLIONS'" (NYDAILYNEWS.com, 3/15).
