DraftKings Pledges To Pay Off Full Cash Balance Liabilities Of FantasyHub Players

DraftKings on Thursday pledged to cover the full cash balance liabilities owed to thousands of former FantasyHub players as well as the full amount due to each of nearly 100 charities, in connection with FantasyHub's past pledge to donate a percentage of contest fees to those organizations. DraftKings is aware of the allegations regarding financial mismanagement at FantasyHub, a Texas-based daily fantasy sports site that ceased operations last month. Nearly 76% of active FantasyHub players compete in DraftKings contests. FantasyHub players can transfer their account over to DraftKings (DraftKings). Meanwhile, DraftKings has "expanded the range of sporting competitions on which it offers contests," with the UEFA Europa League and Liga MX "now added to the platform." DraftKings on Thursday launched the Europa League contests "to coincide with its partner Liverpool FC's first-leg match against Manchester United." The new contests join games "already available" for the EPL, UEFA Champions League and MLS (GAMINGINTELLIGENCE.com, 3/11).
