Mets, MLB Officials, Scores Of Media Members Attend Shannon Forde Memorial

Mets 3B DAVID WRIGHT yesterday in the Foxwoods Club of Citi Field eulogized late Senior Media Relations Dir SHANNON FORDE before "hundreds of mourners," according to Christian Red of the N.Y. DAILY NEWS. Wright and Mets VP/Media Relations JAY HORWITZ "proceeded to deliver moving tributes to the 44-year-old Forde." Throughout much of the hour-long ceremony, Wright "kept his left arm wrapped around Horwitz, who had spent much of the last three-plus years supporting and caring for Forde while she fought" breast cancer. Mets COO JEFF WILPON, GM SANDY ALDERSON and many team staffers were in attendance, as well as members from MLB's offices, Yankees Exec Dir of Communications & Media Relations JASON ZILLO, former Mets GM OMAR MINAYA and "scores of media members" (N.Y.
