Greenbrier Owner Jim Justice Denies Claims Saints Will Move Training Camp

The Saints have held their training camp at West Virginia's Greenbrier resort the last two years, and Greenbrier Owner Jim Justice yesterday denied that the team "would move" back to Louisiana this year, according to Samuel Speciale of the CHARLESTON GAZETTE-MAIL. Fox Sports early yesterday reported that the Saints were "considering a return to team headquarters." But Justice said, "Those reports are not true in any way shape or form." Justice added that Saints GM Mickey Loomis called him yesterday morning to "clear the air." Justice said that the relationship between his resort and the team "is in good standing" and "both sides are open to continuing" the partnership. Speciale notes The Greenbrier was "outfitted" with a $20M practice facility for the Saints when their partnership began, and last year "also hosted training camp" for the Tom Benson-owned Pelicans. The three-year contract between the Saints and The Greenbrier has one year left on it (CHARLESTON GAZETTE-MAIL, 3/3).
