Gold Medal-Winning Swimmer Missy Franklin Signs Endorsement Deal With Wheaties

Four-time Gold Medal-winning U.S. swimmer Missy Franklin has signed a year-long contract to endorse Wheaties. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Franklin, who emerged from the '12 London Games as a household name but did not turn pro until last year, also has signed deals with Minute Maid and Speedo. Wheaties did not commit to any particular activation plans for Franklin, including whether or not she would appear on the iconic cereal box itself. "While some members of our team have gone on to appear on box covers, Missy Franklin is currently being honored as a new member of Team Wheaties,” General Mills Media Relations Manager Mike Siemienas said. Other current members of Team Wheaties include motocross racer Ryan Dungey, triathlete Hunter Kemper, rock climber Tommy Caldwell, Paralympic runner Blake Leeper and snowboarder Sage Kotsenburg.  IMG Senior VP Mark Ervin represented Franklin in the deal.
