Burton Snowboards Shuffles Management Team, Creates CMO Role For First Time

Burton Snowboards is changing its marketing and product teams after installing new top execs earlier this month. The Vermont-based company promoted Senior VP/Marketing ANNE-MARIE DACYSHYN to the newly created role of CMO. Dacyshyn will report to President JOHN LACY, who took on the role earlier this month. Burton co-Founder DONNA CARPENTER at that time also stepped into the CEO role, replacing MIKE REES. Under the new structure, longtime Creative Dir EVAN ROSE has been promoted to VP/Creative Marketing and will report to Dacyshyn, while RANDY TORCOM will become VP/Brand Marketing. On the product side, CHRIS CUNNINGHAM will join the senior management team as VP/Global Product, where he will lead all product categories and oversee the product creative team. Chief Creative Officer GREG DACYSHYN will not be affected by the new structure. He will continue to report directly to Burton Founder & Chair JAKE BURTON. Carpenter in a statement said, "Each of these leaders is a proven performer, and I’m confident they are up to the challenge to help lead us into the next chapter."
