Converse CMO GEOFF COTTRILL "will be leaving the company" after an eight-year run. He has "no definite plans on his next gig" (ADAGE.com, 2/11)....Dallas-based insurance software firm Vivature Sports brought on former UNLV, Arizona and Washington AD JIM LIVENGOOD and former Syracuse Exec Senior Associate AD & Chief Communications Officer/External Affairs JOE GIANSANTE. The company works with several athletic departments. Livengood will focus on working with the Power Five schools, while Giansante will be the company's CMO (Vivature Sports)....The NFL Giants named former Lions GM MARTIN MAYHEW Dir of Football Operations & Special Projects. He will help Giants Assistant GM KEVIN ABRAMS "on all aspects of the salary cap, CBA compliance and player contract negotiations." He also will "handle special projects as assigned" by Giants GM JERRY REESE (AP, 2/11)....NYRA VP/Security GEORGE VENIZELOS and Dir of Communications & Public Affairs JOHN DURSO JR. "are leaving" the organization to "take jobs in the private sector." Venizelos "will be leaving next week to take a position" at Manhattan-based security firm Quality Protection Services, while Durso will leaving on Feb. 26. JENNY KELLNER will serve as interim Dir of Communications (DRF.com, 2/11)....Red Zebra Broadcasting named MASN Nationals beat writer CHRIS JOHNSON Program Dir for ESPN Radio 980 DC. He previously held the position from '96-'08 (WASHINGTONPOST.com, 2/11)....The Padres named former MLBer HIDEO NOMO Advisor for Baseball Operations. Nomo will "assist the organization's efforts in Asia and be involved in player development" (SANDIEGOUNIONTRIBUNE.com, 2/11).
