Time Inc. Moves SI Group President Brendan Ripp Into Broader Position

Time Inc. has shifted SI Group Publisher BRENDAN RIPP to a new, broader role in which he will be President of Technology & Telecommunications for Time Inc. Sales & Marketing. Ripp will lead sales efforts for all of Time Inc. in the tech and telecom categories. Ripp will now report to MARK ELLIS, himself newly placed as President & COO of Time Inc. Sales & Marketing. SI execs previously reporting to Ripp, including VP/Sales JON TUCK, CMO DAMIAN SLATTERY and SI Live Properties & Experiential Marketing Exec Dir HILLARY DREZNER, will each continue in their roles, reporting to Time Inc. Entertainment & Sports Group President RICH BATTISTA. The moves are part of an ongoing executive restructuring within Time Inc., which last month also saw Battista’s duties expanded from People and Entertainment Weekly to also include oversight of SI. With the realignment in Time Inc.’s ad sales, the company is also looking to hone its focus on key marketing categories such as autos, pharmaceuticals and telecom.
