Legends Getting Into Fun By Managing Food Operations At Super Bowl City

Legends Hospitality owns a piece of the action tied to Super Bowl 50 festivities in the Bay Area. The concessionaire co-owned by the Cowboys and Yankees is managing the food operation this week at Super Bowl City, the public fan village in downtown S.F. In a city boasting a strong culinary reputation, Legends signed deals with five local restaurants to showcase their signature dishes, including Woodhouse Fish Co., Bourbon Steak & Pub, Calafia Café and the Southern Comfort Kitchen food truck. Legends is serving some of its own recipes themed as Bay Area Bites. The menu covers items such as local rock cod fish and garlic fries, the Calafia Pork Bowl and Michael Mina’s Gold Rush burger made with Schmitz Ranch beef, produced from a local family-owned farm in business since '44. All vendors are selling main dishes for $10-20 and smaller portions for $8-10. In addition, the Taste of Sonoma waterfront lounge features Sonoma County wines. Legends Dir of Culinary Innovation Rachel Wolff selected the participants after the firm won a proposal issued by the Super Bowl Host Committee. For Legends, the Super Bowl City setup is similar to the business it does at Live Nation amphitheaters across the country, according to Michael Bekolay, the company’s Dallas-based COO.
