Minding My Business: CBS Sports Senior VP Patty Power

Power and CBS Sports are producing 75 hours of
content from Super Bowl City and Radio Row
Name: Patty Power

Position: CBS Sports Senior VP/Operations, Engineering & Production Planning

Where I’m from: Babylon, N.Y.

Where I call home: Garden City, N.Y.

Focusing on right now: The 75 hours of programming coming from Super Bowl City and Radio Row leading up to Super Bowl Sunday.

Best advice: Treat people kindly and with respect. You never know when it's going to come back to you.

A must for a new hire: Positive attitude, hard worker and someone who is willing to learn.

Person I admire most: Any woman who has worked hard to succeed in our industry and continues to set an example for the next generation. A few examples: ANDREA BERRY, SUSAN STONE and JODI MARKLEY.

Best book I’ve read this year: A recent favorite is "All the Light We Cannot See" by ANTHONY DOERR. I also enjoyed CHRISSIE HYNDE's memoir, "Reckless: My Life as a Pretender."

First thing in the morning: Tune into "Boomer & Carton," followed by "CBS This Morning." Then I go through emails and my schedule for the day before I begin the task of waking up my 14-year-old son for school.

Must-have music: I’m all over the board from CARLY SIMON to RIHANNA with a little COLDPLAY and BRUNO MARS in there as well.

Food for thought: Anything healthy with a glass of wine.

How I unwind: Hanging out at home with my two favorite people -- my husband MICHAEL and son SHANE. We also love to entertain family and friends and travel when our schedules permit.

Day in the life: We have a different type of set-up for this year’s Super Bowl versus our last one in New Orleans, with our primary Super Bowl week set located in the middle of Super Bowl City, including our stage, demo field, zipline and TV compound. It took an incredible amount of planning and we’re really proud of what we've assembled, and look forward to showcasing it all week to fans on-site and viewers.
