Overnight Ratings: NBCSN Draws Its Best Figure Yet For NHL All-Star Game

NBCSN drew a 1.2 overnight rating for the NHL All-Star Game last night, marking a record for the cable network, which began airing the game in '07. The 1.2 overnight also is up 24% from a 0.9 last year. There was no game in '14 and '13 due to the Sochi Games and NHL lockout, respectively. The last time the NHL ASG aired on broadcast TV in '04, ABC drew a 2.4 overnight.

DOWN UNDER: Novak Djokovic's win over Andy Murray in the Australian Open final yesterday drew a 0.5 overnight for live coverage from 3:00-6:45am ET on ESPN. That figure is flat compared to the same final in last year's Australian Open. Meanwhile, ESPN drew a 0.6 for Angelique Kerber's win over Serena Williams in the women's final on Saturday morning, down from a 0.8 for Williams' win over Maria Sharapova last year.

SECOND-CHANCE EFFORT
: ABC on Saturday night drew a 2.5 overnight for Spurs-Cavaliers, its second "NBA Saturday Primetime" telecast. That figure is down from a 2.9 overnight for the debut last week, which featured Bulls-Cavaliers. ABC yesterday also drew a 2.3 overnight for Bulls-Clippers in the 3:30-6:00pm window.

JOHNSON ADMINISTRATION: Fox drew a 1.7 overnight for its "UFC on Fox 18," which featured Anthony Johnson's knockout of Ryan Bader on Saturday night. That figure is down from a 2.0 for Johnson's win over Alexander Gustafsson in the same window last year.
