John Wall Officially Hires Rich Paul For On-Court Matters After Firing Dan Fegan

Wizards G John Wall has "officially signed Rich Paul to represent him" after firing agent Dan Fegan earlier this month, according to Jorge Castillo of the WASHINGTON POST. Wall had to "wait 15 days after notifying Fegan," who had repped Wall since being taken with the No. 1 pick in the '10 NBA Draft, to formally hire Paul. Wall said that Paul will handle "only on-court and NBA-contract matters and a close friend will probably oversee his off-court matters." Castillo noted Paul is "widely recognized as LeBron James’s agent and close friend, but has created a deep roster under his Klutch Sports umbrella," counting Suns G Eric Bledsoe and Cavaliers F Tristan Thompson among his 10 other clients. The move to fire Fegan came after "negotiations for a new sneaker contract with Adidas fell through and Wall’s deal with the company expired at the end of September" (WASHINGTON POST, 1/27).
