FanDuel and the NFLPA on Friday announced a group licensing partnership that allows for active NFLers to participate in FanDuel's product marketing and promos. The agreement provides FanDuel the right to employ active NFLers in product and related ads across print, digital, online and broadcast media. Players also will be integrated into the site's "FanDuel Points" rewards program (NFLPA). 

TAKING PRIDE: In Edmonton, Janet French notes the Oilers yesterday held their annual skills competition event for fans, and the team "became the first in the NHL to wrap the knobs and blades of their sticks with Pride Tape, a rainbow-striped hockey tape designed to show support" for LGBTQ athletes. Supporters have a Kickstarter campaign to "raise $54,000 to mass-produce the professional-grade, rainbow-striped tape." The Oilers Community Foundation "donated $8,000 to the cause to help fulfill the NHL's commitment to become the most inclusive professional sports organization in the world" (EDMONTON JOURNAL, 1/25). 

PLACE YOUR BETTS: MLBAM over the weekend announced Red Sox CF Mookie Betts will be the cover athlete for "RBI Baseball ’16," the company’s revival of the classic '80s and '90s baseball video game. The announcement was made at the Red Sox Winter Weekend function at Connecticut’s Foxwoods Resort & Casino. The game, entering its third iteration of the revived version, is slated for release this spring (Eric Fisher, Staff Writer).
