Suns, Kings, Pelicans Lead Western Conference Attendance Gains Despite Records

NBA average attendance continues to pace slightly ahead of last season's record-setting figure, helped by strong gains for the Kings, Suns and Pelicans. Despite sitting 12th in the standings, the Suns have the Western Conference's best gains to date, up nearly 7% in Phoenix. The Kings -- in their final year before a new arena opens -- and Pelicans also are outside the playoff picture right now, but both clubs are up just under 6% to date. The Mavericks continue to lead all Western Conference clubs with 20,137 fans per game, ranking only behind the Bulls across the entire league. The only Western Conference team seeing a noticeable decline are the Nuggets, down almost 8% to date at Pepsi Center. Listed below are attendance figures for Western Conference teams through Jan. 11.
