Cowboys Begin Selling Private Club Memberships At New Team HQ In Frisco

Memberships for the Cowboys Club at The Star in Frisco -- a "first-of-its-kind private club affiliated with a pro football team" -- go on sale to the general public today, according to Valerie Wigglesworth of the DALLAS MORNING NEWS. The club has "views from a terrace overlooking the team’s outdoor fields so members can watch practices." The opposite side "offers views at the 50-yard line of the indoor stadium." Membership "includes access to the Cowboys Fit club, where the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders will train." The Cowboys Club also "plans to host talks with the coaches and players as well as the team’s owners." Additionally, the club "offers multiple dining options, private and corporate meeting space, a private rooftop swimming pool and billiards tables." Cowboys Exec VP/Business Operations Chad Estis said that until now, memberships have "been available only to Cowboys season ticket-holders." He added that the number of memberships will be "limited to 700 to 800 to avoid overcrowding." A family membership "costs a one-time fee of $4,500 plus $350 per month." Corporate memberships "have tiered pricing on the initial fee based on the number of people getting access." For two to four people, for example, the one-time fee "would be $4,000 each," and the $350 monthly fee "would be the same" (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 1/11).
