THE DAILY compiled a list of the Daily Downloads that stood out over the past year. Below is the list in chronological order.

BRAND AID: Newcastle presented another installment of its videos promoting the "Band of Brands" Super Bowl advertising effort.

RISE AND SHINE: Patriots WR Julian Edelman posted this video promoting the Patriots' upcoming season by combining team highlights with audio and images from the "Star Wars: Episode VII" trailer.

RINGING SUCCESS: Video game-themed YouTube outlet Noober Goober Gaming released this video shortly before May's Floyd Mayweather Jr.-Manny Pacquiao fight. Created in the style of the classic game "Punch Out," it accurately predicted the outcome of the fight.


VIDEO CLIP: As part of their multifaceted rebranding campaign, the Clippers created this "Funny Or Die" video in which Owner Steve Ballmer tries in vain to create an original logo. F Blake Griffin, a regular contributor to FunnyOrDie.com, stepped in to save the day.

BACK TO SCHOOL: Comedy Central's "Key & Peele" offered up "TeachingCenter," a parody of ESPN's "SportsCenter" in which teachers replace star athletes. The segment included a ticker featuring test scores instead of sports results as well as a fake BMW commercial in which the star endorser was an English teacher.

WAITING FOR SHOES TO DROP: adidas marked the start of its endorsement deal with Rockets G James Harden by dropping off literal truckloads of shoes at his house.

GETTING WEIRD: Sports humor outlet The Kicker got off to a strong start with a video starring Weird Al Yankovic that explored a host of postgame press conference cliches.

READY TO ROCK: CollegeHumor.com created this video, which treated the plot of "Rocky IV" as if it depicted actual events, in the style of ESPN documentaries and featuring on-air personalities.

On this week’s pod, SBJ’s Austin Karp has two Big Get interviews. The first is with TNT’s Stan Van Gundy as he breaks down the NBA Playoffs from the booth. Later in the show, we hear from ESPN’s VP of Programming and Acquisitions Tim Reed as the NFL Draft gets set to kick off on Thursday night in Motown. SBJ’s Tom Friend also joins the show to share his insights into NBA viewership trends.
