NASCAR yesterday announced that VP/Integrated Marketing Communications DAVID HIGDON will assume the duties vacated by former Senior VP & Chief Communications Officer BRETT JEWKES, though his title will remain the same. Jewkes left after the ’15 season to take the same role with Falcons Owner ARTHUR BLANK’s AMB Group. Higdon, who has been with the sanctioning body since ’11, will relocate from Daytona Beach to Charlotte as part of the move. Also as part of the switch, NASCAR promoted Senior Dir of Stakeholder Communications KURT CULBERT to Managing Dir of Racing Communications, and Managing Dir of Integrated Marketing Communications JON SCHWARTZ will assume added duties including oversight of content, events and media relations (Adam Stern, Staff Writer).

EXECS: N.Y.-based creative marketing firm Reveal 42 has named former MLB and NHL Senior Producer GARY WAKSMAN Exec Producer of its new production unit, Reveal Originals (Reveal 42)....The Univ. of Wisconsin-Platteville named football coach and Associate AD MIKE EMENDORFER interim AD. He will begin the role on Jan. 9 following the retirement of current AD MARK MOLESWORTH (UW-Platteville)....The Collegiate Water Polo Association named former independent Atlantic League Lancaster Barnstormers Video Production intern JONATHAN WEAVER Dir of Multimedia (CWPA).
