ESPN Expands ComScore Metrics Lead Over Yahoo Sports-NBC Sports

ESPN in November extended its lead over chief rival Yahoo Sports-NBC Sports in both reach and consumption metrics in comScore multiplatform digital rankings for sports. As the Yahoo-NBC alliance last month retreated slightly from its company-record performance in October, ESPN stretched its margin between the two from less than 11 million unique visitors and 1.7 billion minutes of consumption to more than 17 million uniques and 2.3 billion minutes in November. ESPN’s audience total last month of 89.9 million uniques also marked its 21st consecutive month atop the list, and it again led the category with just shy of 9 billion total minutes of consumption. 247Sports.com, part of CBS’ digital rollup, continued its run of growth in ’15, setting another company record with 19.5 million uniques.
