Wild Launch Media Company With Sport Ngin That Oversees TV Show, Website

The Wild last month "quietly launched a media company that provides hockey scores, stats and stories from the outdoor rinks of Pee Wee leagues to Xcel Energy Center and everything in between," according to Nick Halter of the MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL BUSINESS JOURNAL. The venture "could help the Wild increase its exposure statewide, promote the game of hockey and increase its revenue." The company, called Venture 32, "has two properties, a TV show and a website, both under the State of Hockey banner." While the website "has college and NHL content, one differentiator may be that it also provides youth and high school hockey content." To get all of this content, the team is "partnering with Minneapolis-based Sport Ngin, the tech company whose team management software is used by hockey clubs across the country." Sport Ngin "provides similar services for media companies like the Star Tribune, as well as professional sports teams" like the Avalanche. The TV series was "developed alongside" FS North (MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL BUSINESS JOURNAL, 12/4 issue).
