GOLF.com's Brendan Mohler noted Under Armour has made Jordan Spieth "one of the few golfers to have his own logo." Available now are "several gear options that rep the young Texan, including the sleek and simple JS logo that seems likely to catch on with youth." The Texas Flag shirt "comes in red and gray, while the JS is available in green, black and gray" (GOLF.com, 12/2).

FOREVER YOUNG: In Baltimore, Jeff Barker noted Under Armour is "sponsoring an elite youth soccer tournament in Howard County [Md.] this weekend in partnership" with EPL club Tottenham Hotspur, which it has sponsored since '11. The tournament is for youth ages 11-15 and "will include 82 teams" from the U.S., Canada, and U.S. Virgin Islands. Hotspur development staff "will be on hand during the weekend." The event, called the Tottenham Hotspur America Cup tournament, "is staged by event management company Elite Tournaments" (BALTIMORESUN.com, 12/2).

LINE CHANGE
: ADWEEK's David Gianatasio reported Sport Chek, one of Canada's largest retailers of athletic clothing and equipment, "has selected TBWA\Chiat\Day as its lead creative and strategic partner following a review." The assignment was "previously handled by the Toronto office of Sid Lee, which parted with the client in May." The retailer "recently opened two new stores in the Greater Toronto area and launched a digital concept store in the city's Maple Leaf Square, complete with a broadcast studio" for TSN (ADWEEK.com, 12/2).

NICE TO MEAT YOU: The FINANCIAL POST's Hollie Shaw notes Maple Leaf Foods Inc. "is working to rehabilitate the image of meat with a new video series pumping up the benefits of the much-maligned protein." The video titled “Protein Builds” features four-time Canadian hockey Gold Medalist C Hayley Wickenheiser "in videos promoting meat as an important nutritional building block on the meat processor’s YouTube and Facebook pages" (FINANCIAL POST, 12/3).
