Hyundai's Return To Super Bowl Includes Two First-Half 30-Second Ads

Hyundai, in its first year as an official NFL sponsor, is returning to the Super Bowl with two in-game 30-second spots before halftime. One ad will run in each the first and second quarters of the game. Hyundai also secured the pre-kick slot and will run a new 60-second ad in that place. The pre-game show will also feature another all-new 60-second Hyundai spot. Super Bowl 50 will mark Hyundai’s eighth appearance in the last nine years after it sat out last year (Hyundai). AD AGE’s E.J. Schultz notes Hyundai's “agency of record, Innocean Worldwide, is creating all four of the ads.” Hyundai is “the second automaker to confirm a Super Bowl ad buy, following Kia, which is returning to the game for the seventh straight year” (ADAGE.com, 11/12).
