Sportradar, IOC Sign Deal To Share Info About Betting In Olympic Sports

Sportradar and the IOC have signed a memorandum of understanding to share information about betting in Olympic sports. All sports and events covered by the IOC’s two-year-old Integrity Betting Intelligence System are covered by the understanding. The data analytics tool collates alerts and information about betting behavior to flag instances of potential manipulation. "After 10 years working to raise awareness and insight into the world of match manipulation, it is a great time to provide our expertise to the IOC," said Sportradar Managing Dir of Security Services Andreas Krannich. “The Olympic Games are the symbol of global sport and capture the power of sport to positively impact on our world. We are honored that our Fraud Detection System will be able to strengthen the global audience’s faith in the amazing competitions they will be watching from Rio onwards." The European data company has already struck deals with the NFL, NASCAR and the NHL this year, and took a $44.2M investment from Ted Leonsis’ Revolution Growth, Mavericks Owner Mark Cuban and Hornets Owner Michael Jordan in October.
