Overnight Ratings: CBS Wins College Football Week 8 With Tennessee-Alabama

Alabama's fourth-quarter comeback over Tennessee helped CBS record the top-rated college football game on Saturday. The game drew a 4.2 overnight on CBS in the 3:30pm ET window, up 27% from a 3.3 rating for the comparable game last year, which pitted No. 1 Mississippi State against Kentucky. Meanwhile, ABC televised two of the three highest-rated games in college football's Week 8, led by Ohio State-Rutgers with a 3.3 overnight in primetime. The net's 3:30pm ET regional window, featuring Indiana-Michigan State and Texas Tech-Oklahoma, drew a 3.2 overnight, up 19% from the comparable time slot in '14.
