Packers Adding Operable Windows To Closed Suites As Part Of Lambeau Field Upgrades

The Packers "will renovate about 160 suites" at Lambeau Field over the next two years, adding "operable windows to what are now closed cubes," according to Richard Ryman of the GREEN BAY PRESS-GAZETTE. That is "not the only change" the team's $55M investment will buy, as suite re-design will "make them more efficient, carpet will be replaced and decor updated, among other improvements." But the windows "are a big deal." Packers Premium Seating Sales & Service Manager Jason McDonough: "That's probably the No. 1 piece of feedback from clientele. They want the crowd noise, the elements, even the cold. We've noticed the demeanor of fans change in [a renovated] suite. They are louder, less separated." Lambeau Field has 188 suites, including 20 in the south end zone which "already were upgraded." Suites will "get new decor, larger refrigerators and larger smart TVs." Common areas for clubs seats "will also get new carpets, TVs and decor." However, PMI Entertainment Group PR Manager Terry Charles said that the upgrades "probably won't improve the chances of getting concerts at Lambeau Field because the increase in seats won't make an appreciable difference in attracting performers." But it "does mean more people could attend" (GREEN BAY PRESS-GAZETTE, 10/16).
