USOC Projects Quadrennial Revenue Will Grow By 16.5% By End Of Next Year

The USOC projects its quadrennial revenue will grow 16.5% by the conclusion of '16, CEO Scott Blackmun said last week at a speech to the USOC Assembly. Blackmun said the committee projects four-year revenue of $818M from '13-16, up from $702M in the previous four-year period that concluded with a summer Games. Driving the growth, Blackmun said, is a perfect record in renewing sponsorship deals over that time and a new consumer products division that will exceed $100M in retail sales. He credited CMO Lisa Baird for the sponsorship stability. He said, “We are now known as a marketing organization that does more than just ‘sell’ its rights -- we are a respected marketer of our property and our team.”
