Paul Swangard To Become Chief Strategist For Digital Running Hub RunnerSpace

Former Univ. of Oregon Warsaw Sports Marketing Center Managing Dir PAUL SWANGARD will become chief strategist of RunnerSpace, a digital media hub for track and field and running, in a deal announced today. Swangard’s eight-month-old consultancy, Bowerman Curve Collective Inc., has already been advising RunnerSpace informally on a variety of issues. Under the terms of the formal arrangement, Swangard will work directly with CEO ROSS KREMPLEY to develop its strategic plan and manage and create new key client relationships, such as RunnerSpace’s recent six-year partnership with the Armory Track & Field Center in N.Y. “Paul has been a trusted advisor to me for many years and I’m incredibly excited to formalize this critical role in our company,” Krempley said in a statement. Swangard left the Warsaw Sports Marketing Center in June after 14 years leading the academic program. He said the deal with RunnerSpace will allow him to continue his race-announcing work and teaching classes at Oregon.
