Wayfair Signs First Sports Sponsorship With U.S. Figure Skating For '15-16 Season

U.S. Figure Skating has signed e-commerce site Wayfair as a sponsor in the home furnishing category for the '15-16 season, the NGB announced today. It is Wayfair’s first sports sponsorship. As part of the agreement, Wayfair receives presenting rights to the backstage athletes and coaches lounge at '15 Skate America in October and the '16 U.S. Championships in January. NBC often broadcasts post-performance athlete interviews from the lounge. Wayfair also gets media time across NBC’s figure skating coverage this season. Financial terms were not disclosed. “Wayfair represents a unique sponsor category for our organization and we feel their demographic is a strong match to our passionate fan base,” U.S. Figure Skating Exec Dir David Raith said.
